
Brett Heath

Mr. Heath has a comprehensive career in the royalty sector and public markets with over two decades of experience. Over his career, he has founded and built over $1 billion in value using the royalty model in the public and private markets. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Metalla Royalty (NYSE: MTA) and Chairman of the Board of Nova Royalty (TSXV: NOVR) and Carbon Neutral Royalty (Private). He has completed over 50 royalty transactions in gold, silver, copper, nickel, and carbon markets with a diverse group of counterparties from major corporates, private equity, and private interests.

Alex Tsukernik
President & CEO, Director
Mr. Tsukernik co-founded Nova Royalty in 2018. He has over 15 years of experience in metals and mining finance as an executive, investor, and corporate adviser. Before Nova Royalty, he spent more than 7 years as an independent principal of his own merchant banking/advisory firm, Syntella Partners, where he focused on creating value-added investment opportunities in the mining space. Prior to becoming an independent principal, he co-founded the Metals and Mining investment banking group at Rodman & Renshaw, where he was Director and Head of Metals and Mining, and involved with over $2bn of completed mergers, acquisitions and capital raising transactions. Before that, he was a founding professional and Vice President of Miller Mathis, a merger and acquisition advisory firm focused on the steel industry. He began his career in the investment banking group at J.P. Morgan. Alex earned a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from Cornell University and an M.B.A. with Beta Gamma Sigma Honors from Columbia Business School. He also holds the CFA Charter.

Andrew Greville
Non-Executive Director
Since 2014, Mr. Greville has been the principal of his own consulting firm, West End Mining & Consulting. From 2005 to 2013, Mr. Greville held multiple roles at Xstrata Copper, including Executive General Manager, Business Development & Strategy, where he was responsible for all M&A activity and coordination of strategic planning. From 2000 to 2005, he was Vice President of Ores & Concentrates for Pechiney World Trade (now Rio Tinto Limited). From 1996 to 1999, he was Vice President, Commercial for BHP Copper North America with commercial responsibility for BHP’s North American operations.

Johanna Fipke
Non-Executive Director
Ms. Fipke is currently a partner at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP, one of Canada’s leading law firms, and a core member of their Global Mining Group. Johanna has been recognized for her mining expertise by Lexpert, Who’s Who Legal, the Best Lawyers in Canada and the Legal 500. Ms. Fipke is also a founding and current director of Women in Mining British Columbia. She holds a Bachelor of Law, Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts, each with distinction, from the University of Alberta. In 2018, Johanna was chosen as one of the top 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining.

E.B. Tucker
Non-Executive Director
Mr. Tucker is a founding shareholder of Nova Royalty and a director of Metalla Royalty & Streaming (NYSE: MTA), of which he is also a founding shareholder. He is the author of Why Gold? Why Now? a book detailing the wealth-creating power of mineral royalties. He was editor and senior analyst of several widely followed financial newsletters including Doug Casey's Casey Report, The Bill Bonner Letter and Stansberry's Investment Advisory. He has two decades of capital markets experience and was a founding partner of KSIR Capital Management, an asset management firm focused on precious metal equities as well as KSIR Capital, a corporate finance advisory firm.

Luke Leslie
Non-Executive Director
Mr. Luke Leslie is the Chief Financial Officer, Head of M&A and a Board Director at Shanta Gold Limited. Luke began his career as a Management Consultant with Accenture and was a member of the UBS Investment Bank’s Corporate Finance team in London. Luke previously served as Chairman of Kincora Copper and as a Director of REBGold Corporation. He graduated from Edinburgh University and holds an MA (hons) in Business Studies and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.

Guy Elliott
Non-Executive Director
Mr. Elliott has been an audit partner in the Energy and Natural Resources (ENR) group of the Vancouver office of KPMG for over 25 years until his retirement in June of 2022. He was responsible for financial statement and internal control audits for numerous companies in the mining industry, including companies listed in Canada, the United States and internationally. He has extensive experience in financial reporting, internal controls, financing and related securities filings and compliance in Canada and the United States. Mr. Elliott is a CPA.CA, is a holder of the Institute of Corporate Directors Director (ICD.D) designation and has a BA from Simon Fraser University.

Douglas Silver
Non-Executive Director
Douglas Silver has over 40 years of experience as an active professional in the metals and mining industry. He has been an exploration geologist, management consultant, mineral appraiser, M&A advisor, investor relations expert, and mine financier. Mr. Silver was a founder, CEO and Chairman of International Royalty Corporation and participated in building the world’s largest mining private equity firm as a portfolio manager. Through his work with the University of Arizona’s colleges of Engineering and Science and the Lowell Institute for Mineral Resources, Mr. Silver’s mentorship and support of education have contributed to the careers of countless mining industry professionals. Advocacy for women’s involvement at all levels of the mining industry is of particular importance for Mr. Silver, who has supported the advancement of women’s rights and education in mining throughout his career. He is a member of the U.S. National Mining Hall of Fame and will be inducted into the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame in May 2023, making him one of only three people to hold both honours.
